About Iron Workers Local Union No. 405

We are a Local Union chapter of the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Ironworkers. We are also members of the Ironworkers District Council of Philadelphia and have taken a leadership role in various other organizations throughout central Pennsylvania.

You’ll find our work at the heart of a building’s structure. Our members erect the reinforcing framework of buildings and also are essential in other projects, such as erecting bridges, blast furnaces, ornamental ironwork and power plants. Our skill set includes welding, sheeting and rigging all of which are taught by certified instructors in our training facility.
